Hey, my name is Ryan. I wrote a novel called Nimrod which I hope you’ll check out. I’m deep into the process of writing my second one, Thing of the Past, but having Nimrod published and trying to think of ways to promote it inspired me to create a blog. This is a great way for me to share some of my more immediate thoughts. So this is a way of shutting off my editing brain and diving into my stream of consciousness thoughts, like a longform Twitter.

Green Day is the band that changed my life back in 1994 and is still my favorite band to this day. But that’s not to say we didn’t hit some bumps along the road. This is the story of my on-again off-again relationship with my favorite band.
